This all started because Caleb, my first son, is extremely social....he loves people..and does not play well alone. He has been asking for a brother...and we thought it best to give himsomeone to grow up with. But I need to let you know that he has a few specifications for that brother. He comes up to me one day, "Mom,..........I want a brother....but..I want him to already be a brother...I don't want a baby..ok/'....hilarious!...'ok, honey" I replied.
I thought that would be worth sharing. So we are looking at a child in the 3-6 year range.
(don't tell my husband but I would like a girl too....lol shhhhhh heheee)
The adoption journey
Come along on the adoption journey. Actually this is the adoption journey 2. Since we've traveled this way b4 in our journey with Caleb..we realize the emotional roller coaster that we've boarded. Having said that we also have experienced the grace and mercy that God pours out to strengthen us on this journey. So come aboard with us. Laugh, cry, and most importantly pray. We are going to lots of that.

Paperwork is done!
The paperwork is comeplete! We have been working on the paperwork to get licensed for foster care since fall of 2010. sheesh! It has been so intense that we quit 4/5 of the way through. Yuck! It was grueling, exhausting, and extremely intrusive....so we quit and decided to go through an international agency. So we called Christian Family Sevices in Southfield, MI. to begin the Home Study process costing us $1800. Ouch!....anyways...we began this process which is much quicker...however our agent from Lutheran Family Services called us and asked us to reconsider the foster care license as a backup plan...after family deliberation ..we agreed. sooooo here we are
our paper work is finished and sent to Lansing for aproval. The end result is that we should be available for foster care or international adoption. or both..Who knew?....only God.
Please pray as we give this journey to the Soveriegn God, Creator of the Universe, who has a plan for a child. This child is precious to Him and He is entrusting this child to us ..to nurture, support, enabling him to become a pillar and minister to others.( BTY... by minister I don't mean "preacher" pursay...but that we are all ministers of his grace..no matter what our carreer.)
Thanks for joining our Journey!
